Winter Shearling: Jackets and Protection

Winter in London presents a particular challenge for leather enthusiasts. Cold, damp, and occasionally salt-laden air conspire to test even the finest hides. With considered care, your ILHAN shearling jackets will not merely survive the season — they will emerge from it with added character.

If caught in rain, follow our standard drying protocol: blot, air dry, brush shearling once fully dry, then condition the leather.

**Shearling Collars** Removable collars — as on the Hampstead Flight Jacket — should be stored separately on a wide hanger when not attached. Brush the pile before storage to prevent matting. Never compress shearling in a drawer or shelf.
